This Week In The NFL – The Pay Me Or Trade Me June 18th Video Edition

Lots of sooking, hold outs and trade requests in the NFL this week…heres a recap in a brand new trial video format.

Giants Receiver/Returner Hixon Out For Season

The Giants first training session in their new 1.6 billion dollar Meadowlands Stadium ended in horror this week after Wide Receiver/Punt Returner/Kick Returner Domenik Hixons foot got stuck in the suspect turf causing a season ending torn ACL.

Several Giants players spoke out about the ground conditions afterwards…and hopefully this means Cowboys fans will not see any repeats of the above footage this year.

Patriots Veteran Mankins wants out of New England

Despite having started every game since being drafted by New England in 2005, veteran Patriots two time Pro Bowl guard is upset with negotiations over a new contract and says he wants to be traded.

Mankins skipped the start of the team’s three-day minicamp on Tuesday and is a restricted free agent, meaning that any team that makes an offer would have to part with a first- and third-round draft choice if the Patriots don’t match it.

You just gotta love some of the special NFL interviews & features like the one above about Mankins and the hairy Patriots O-Line.

Redskins DT Haynesworth still a no show & looking for trade

The highest paid defensive player in the NFL, Washington Redskins defensive tackle , is still holding out from Training Camp and has officially demanded a trade.

Since the Skins signed Haynesworth last season, they have hired a new head coach and are in the middle of transitioning to a new defensive scheme…one that will see Haynesworth eat double teams and have less freedom to blitz and make plays in the backfield.

Jesus man you get played to play football…and you get paid a lot. Get on the damn field!

Titans RB Johnson still not happy with contract talks

From the highest paid defensive player, to someone trying to become the highest paid offensive player in the NFL. Tennessee Titans running back is still not happy with his measly $550,000 2010 salary and is holding out from Titans training camp.

After his record breaking 2009 season, the star running back with the horrible Twitter grammar wants his money…but Tennessee has made no adequate offers so far. This year could get ugly for Titans fans!

Chargers Jackson & McNeill Could Hold Out Till Week 10

Speaking of ugly… two of the San Diego Chargers key players, Pro Bowl wide receiver and Pro Bowl left tackle , are willing to hold out until Week 10 for the Chargers front office to offer them big long term contracts.

The reason behind Week 10 is that each player must play a minimum of 6 games to be credited for the 2010 season and become eligible for 2011 Free Agency depending on the potential new collective bargaining agreement.

has to be having nightmares at the moment!

2009 Super Bowl Champ Saints receive Championship rings

On a more happier note, the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints finally got their 2009 Championship Rings in a private ceremony at The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans.

The ring is a 14-karat diamond studded expensive looking affair. When asked about the average worth of each ring the team declined to answer…wow!

Former Cowboys Safety Hamlin signs with Ravens

Former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl safety has reached a one year agreement with the Baltimore Ravens.

After numerous rumours, Hamlin was finally released along with a bunch of other high paid veterans by the Cowboys in April. After watching this video I’m hoping the Ravens are just signing for depth.
