As if there already isn’t already enough to argue about this off-season EA have finally released the full team and top individual player ratings for Madden 11. Check it out and get ready to type up that long boring essay explaining why player X should have a rating of Y instead of Z.
I won’t post the team ratings because one huge list is enough but will point you here (EA Sports Madden site) if you want to check them out. Big changes include the Redskins (Hail!) rising up 6 points to 76, Philadelphia dropping 6 to 80, Arizona dropping 8 to 79, and San Diego dropping 4 to 85 (probably due to the lack of LT). Perhaps even more odd is the Titan’s fall to 77 despite having an RB rated 99 (Johnson).
Here’s the list of best player per position ratings, lovingly ripped from Operation Sports:

Interesting that Albert Haynesworth is no longer in the top 8 defencive tackles, he was rated 98 at the start of last year. Pretty telling. I still personally believe that Adrian Peterson should be rated higher than Chris Johnson, also why isn’t Aaron Rodgers rated at least as high as Brees or Manning? He is just as good.
Don’t get too excited about this list, its sure to change by the end of the preseason games and then again every other week. Still, isn’t it fun to reduce an entire player’s career and talent into a single numerical value?
