![]() The 2010 NFL Draft concluded on Saturday morning and despite starting off fairly predictably there were some surprises late in the first round. Here’s a quick and dirty recap of the 1st round picks: 1. Rams, Sam Bradford, QB 2. Lions, Ndamukong Suh, DT 3. Buccaneers, Gerald McCoy, DT 4. Redskins, Trent Williams, OT 5. Chiefs, Eric Berry, SS 6. Seahawks, Russell Okung, OT 7. Browns, Joe Haden, CB 8. Raiders, Rolando McClain, LB 9. Bills, C.J. Spiller, RB 10. Jaguars, Tyson Alualu, DE 11. 49ers, Anthony Davis, OT 12. Chargers, Ryan Mathews, RB 13. Eagles, Bradon Graham, DE 14. Seahawks, Earl Thomas, SS 15. Giants, Jason Pierre-Paul, DE 16. Titans, Derrick Morgan, DE 17. 49ers, Mike Lupati, OG 18. Steelers, Maurkice Pouncey, C 19. Falcons, Sean Weatherspoon, LB 20. Texans, Kareem Jackson, CB 21. Bengals, Jermaine Gresham, TE 22. Broncos, Demaryius Thomas, WR 23. Packers, Bryan Bulaga, OT 24. Cowboys, Dez Bryant, WR 25. Broncos, Tim Tebow, QB 26. Cardials, Dan Williams, DT 27. Patriots, Devin McCourty, CB 28. Dolphins, Jared Odrick, DT 29. Jets, Kyle Wilson, CB 30. Lions, Javhid Best, RB 31. Colts, Jerry Hughes, DE 32. Saints, Patrick Robinson, CB There! The biggest winners in my opinion were the Seahawks as they not only fixed their offencive line and defencive backs but also hurt Taylor Mays’ feelings. Wonderful. The Chargers and Giants both traded up and got who they needed like I though they would but the biggest shock was Jimmy Clausen falling way back into the second round and Tim Tebow being reached for by the Broncos. They traded a second, third and fourth round pick for him (it’s ok, they had heaps of picks to make up for it after trading away all their best players). He now will find himself in a QB competition with Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn, both who are expecting to start this year. Drama! |
| As expected the draft was rich in offencive line talent and it was reflected in the first round with the 49ers clearly making a statement picking a new guard and tackle. The Packers picked up Bryan Baluga super cheap and the Steelers fans should be happy with the Gator’s Maurkice Pouncey pick as well. That said I was surprised how far Bruce Campbell fell, not to mention Colt McCoy, who was supposed to be rated higher than Tebow. |
| Just so we are clear yes Tim Tebow was picked 25th overall. Intangibles people! THINK ABOUT THE INTANGIBLES! |
