After my Cowboys got torn up by the Vikings last week I had to face the truth that after listening, watching, reading, and breathing the NFL for nearly six months, that was it…my NFL season was over.
When your team isn’t in the hunt anymore, its damn hard to stay motivated through the NFL Playoffs so I decided to put together 10 tips to help you survive the next few weeks and would love to hear if you have others.
1. Pick a team to follow them through the playoffs
Do you love an Underdog and want the Jets to win it all?
Are you a Peyton fan and want to see him cement his name as one of the best QBs of all time with his second ring?
Do you love the glitz and glamour of New Oreans?
Try getting behind another team and follow them for the rest of the playoffs.
2. Watch the highlights of your teams season on YouTube
There is nothing better than spending hours on YouTube or NFL.com reliving your favorite players and moments of the 2010 season.
3. Read blogs about your teams needs this off season
Is your teams quarterback good enough to take you to the promised land next season?
What is your depth like at each position?
Start looking around the net and following some of your teams blogs and start finding out.
4. Be thankful that you aren’t a Rams, Raiders or Chiefs fan
Year after year of disappointing seasons waiting for a turn around.
Maybe this off-season things will finally change…maybe not.
5. Play ESPN Gridiron Playoff Challenge

I’ve never played it but if you are desperate for a fantasy and gambling fix then this is your game. http://games.espn.go.com/nflpc/en/frontpage
6. Follow the NFL Draft prospects
Will the boy named Suh go Number One overall in this years draft?
Is Sam Bradford the best QB?
What are your team needs?
Start following the NFL Draft early and see what picks your team has.
7. Start following your teams off season moves

New coaches, new GM’s, free agents, uncapped seasons…there is already a lot happening at the moment in the NFL so keep up with your teams moves now before the off season starts.
8. Start planning your Fantasy team and league for next season

Is Chris Johnson the number one Fantasy player next season?
How many leagues are you going to play?
What did you do right and wrong this season?
Start planning now and dominate next season.
9. Start a new season on Madden
Ahh Madden…the NFL fans off season life support.
Start a new season now and simulate your teams moves and progress for next season and predict the future.
