If you are fighting it out in the Fantasy Playoffs as I am, then there are a few keys tips and players to consider when setting your roster this week.
Number 1 Start:

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers (Quarterback)
This is an obvious choice.
- Rodgers is the number one ESPN Fantasy player so far in the 2009 season.
- He is coming off a huge three touchdown game last week against the Steelers.
- The Green Bay receiving core is heating up with the emergence of Tight End JerMichael Finley
- He is up against a disgraceful Seattle defense which has allowed 20.2 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks in the last six weeks.
Also consider:
Antonio Gates – San Diego Chargers (Tight End:)
After a slow start to 2009 where he only had two touchdowns in his first ten games, Gates has finally started heating up just at the right time. Philip Rivers is one of the hottest QBs in the league at the moment and loves exploiting Gates size and speed. Gates has had four touchdowns in his past four games.
Number 1 Sit:

Tom Brady – New England Patriots (Quarterback)
I wouldn’t be suprised if this was Bradys comeback game and he kills this pick but Brady has put up single digit fantasy points in three of his last four games. This just isn’t good enough for a number 1 rated QB in the Fantasy playoffs.
When my internet connection dropped out in my ESPN Fantasy Draft this season and Tony Romo and Tom Brady were automatically drafted for me I thought it was an early Xmas present. I thought I would be able to alternate both QBs through the year and as Romo struggled in December I could use Brady as my sure hand.
How times have changed. I have started Romo over Brady the past four weeks and had great success.
Also consider:
Reggie Wayne - Indianapolis Colts (Wide Receiver)
As good as Peyton Manning has been and despite coming off a big game last week, Wayne has been inconsistent since returning from injury. I especially don’t like his chance of a big game against the top ranked New York Jets defense and the leagues number one shutdown corner Darelle Revis.
Number 1 Pick Up:

Jerome Harrison – Cleveland Browns (Running Back)
Even if you are loaded with running backs and you think that his massive numbers last week were just a fluke, you still need to make a waiver claim for Harrison and get him on your team.
Harrison is going against a weak Oakland Raiders run defense and is expected to put up at least get double digit fantasy points as the Browns new number one back.
If you do think last week was a fluke, pick him up and sit him on your bench. I wouldn’t take a chance and let my opponent start him against you.
Also consider:
Jason Snelling – Atlanta Falcons (Running Back)
Michael Turner says he is going to play this week…if he doesn’t Snelling will be going against the Buffalo Bills who have one of the worst run defenses in the League.
Fred Davis – Wasington Redskins (Tight End)
If he is still available in your league then make a claim on Davis now. If the Redskins are going to have any chance to win this week they will need to pass against a top ranked Dallas Cowboys run defense. Davis has scored five touchdowns in his last four games and become one of Jason Campbells favourite targets.
Number 1 Drop:

Any Houston Running Back
The Texans have had one of the most unreliable and dissapointing running back groups of the year and now is the time to get rid of your Houston backs and don’t look back.
There is no clear cut number one back and any time Steve Slaton, Ryan Moats, or Chris Brown fumbles or makes a mistake they are taken out of the game making it hell for Fantasy owners.
Also consider:
Rock Cartwright – Washington Redskins (Running Back)
After looking to have the Washington starting job a few weeks back, Cartwright has failed to perform letting Quinton Ganther stand up to take the number one spot.
As a result Cartwright has barely been used in the past two weeks and with the hapless Washington needing to pass to get back into games, there is less and less chance of Cartwright getting back into the action.
