Since the 1st of June most of the reputable fantasy football sites are allowed you to finally make and join your leagues for the new season. An exciting time for some, a moment of brief anxiety for others. Do you have any idea what you will be doing in the draft this year? Well fear not for now I shall share with you some of the better sites for fantasy football news and strategy. Also a NFL Down Under announcement at the end.

http://footballguys.com/, Last season the Footballguys guys helped me with some very nifty features including a draft pick rater, complete depth charts and a daily fantasy news digest sent to your email. That’s not even the paid stuff, if you get a subscription you can get access to a nearly infinite amount of articles, tools and tips. Did I mention they are running a $50,000 league this season? Hardcore.

http://fantasyfootballcalculator.com/, The FantasyFootball Calculator is a nifty fantasy tools site that has an easy to use and 24 hour mock draft application. You can drop into a mock 8, 10, 12 or 14 person draft at almost every time all the while supplying you with the average draft positions just like any of the Yahoo, EPSN or NFL.com ones do. It’s quick, easy and even if there are no other humans in there will still give you the best idea as to how the pieces will fall. By the time for my actual league draft will come along I will have something close to 50 mock drafts done here already.

http://www.todayinfantasy.com/, Today in Fantasy supplies links to all the fantasy articles that are uploaded each day. It’s a welcome tool if you are struggling to find any one blog (because lets face it, there are heaps) that you are comfortable with. It has them organised by date but you can search for independent topics such as IDPs if you are looking to get a little more specific.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/fantasy/, Fantasy Clicks, courtesy of Sports Illustrated is one of the more enjoyable professional fantasy blogs I read. It’s pretty clear and does not suffer from the typical Internet journalism bugbears and it’s not just limited to the NFL either. So if you are keen on or the there’s really something for everybody.

If you have any other blogs or columns you feel should be added to the list by all means let us know in the comments section and ill post them up.

Finally all those wishing to take part in the NFL Downunder Fantasy Football League or NFLDFFL should leave a comment so I have a rough idea as to how many people we can get this season. 12 people is ideal but please only put your hand up if you are in it to win it. In a few weeks I will make a league using the ESPN Fantasy Football system so you might want to make a user account at your leasure. Stay tune for more news.
