Hats off top Colin for his efforts, but he wasnt the first Aussie to receive an NCAA scholarship and play Gridiron in the US. I played for Southern Illinois Uni in 1973, and I know another Aussie tennis player ( cant think of his name but will get it) who played tight end for one of the Oregon Unis.  Cheers Wayne Cowley
